Blogging is all about communication and exchange with others. At least for me. And I count myself very lucky for being part of an extremely interesting series of interviews regarding mental illness.
A while back, Alicja from the blog – LostBehindTheMirror – (click here) did a little interview with me. She writes about mental health on her blog (English & German) and she started a little series of interviews. I am so grateful to be able to take part in something that brings mental health issues closer to people. Reading real life stories makes it more tangible and I want to take this opportunity to say firstly thank you and secondly, applaud her for doing something so wonderful and relevant.

Mental illness is somehow a part of everybody’s life. Most of us have either experienced it ourselves or we know somebody who has. We loose so many people to suicide. We know so many people who self-harm. PTSD, depression, bi-polar, schizophrenia, substance abuse, trauma… Mental health issues can appear in a huge range of forms. The more openly we talk about it, spread the word, educate – the higher the chances of helping somebody, recognizing it, providing help.
This is so so personal and yes, I am nervous about sharing it with the world. But at the same time I am so proud and I feel such a relief… And I know I am not alone.
Love to everyone ❤
